Auctioned on Valentine's Day: A Second Chance Stepbrother Romance Read online

The week at the clinic flew by and soon it was Friday night. I was with Mollie at a club, wearing one of my new skirts and a shirt. The auction was tomorrow night, and she was going to be there to support me and check out some of the hot men. She’d paid for the ticket to attend and I was glad that I would know somebody there. She had set up an appointment at a salon for me on her dime and I thanked her again as we stood at the bar.
I looked around, noting a couple of guys at the corner of the bar. They screamed money, and both were gorgeous, but I was drawn to tall, dark, and handsome. He sipped a bottle and laughed at something the other man said as I watched, holding my drink in my hand. He was stunning, and I licked my lips as he looked around as if to find the person staring at him. His eyes locked on mine and I blushed as he took me in with a heated gaze, looking away. I had no shot with a man like this and looked away, trying to focus on the following night. That was when I was going to give myself to someone and he probably wouldn’t be anything like the man that I’d been staring at like a teenager.
We moved on to another club and I put the man out of my mind. I was moving, and I’d never see him again. I was going to meet a guy tomorrow and with any luck, we’d hit it off.
I looked into the mirror just before placing my mask on to go on the stage. My soft hazel eyes popped with the shadow that Linda used with the dark liner and mascara and whatever she used on my skin made me look flawless. My pale skin was shimmery in all the right places and my pink lipstick completed the look. My hair was hanging in loose curls around my shoulders and I smiled at the image, never wanting to forget this. I stood when someone came to get us, sliding my mask into place before I followed the other women to the stage.
CHAPTER THREE
Sebastian
My driver picked up Donovan and took us to the club on the edge of the town. There was a line of people that were just attending, and I glanced their way before heading to the side entrance that was reserved for the bidders. We had a room set aside and Donovan and I were the last to arrive, walking in and glancing around for a place to sit. I recognized the other men as fellow bachelors on the wealthy side of New York. I knew them in passing but Donovan was the only one that I showed my true self with. I nodded at them, aware that they were here for the same reason that I was. It was for charity as well as some cash going to the women that were putting themselves out there for us.
I’d worn my best tuxedo along with the others. There were going to be some big names here, and I needed to make a good impression for the press. They would be covering this though not as what it was. It was going to be like a TV show earning money for a good cause that included a date. We were led to the main room once the guests were inside and situated and walked through a door to see the bar lit in soft lights and full of men and women.
There was some music playing over the speakers, but not loud enough to hinder any conversation. I walked with my best friend to the bar and ordered a drink, looking up at the stage that was shrouded by a dark curtain at the moment. What was going to happen when it opened? I had slept with a lot of women, but this was new territory for me. I grinned at Donovan as he downed his whiskey and shook his head. “Here goes nothing.”
Everyone gathered in front of the stage as the auction was announced. There were giggles and throats clearing as the curtain slid open, revealing ten people on a dim stage. I could see the sparkle of some dresses and vague figures before lights came on. I looked over all ten of the women slowly, seeing blonde to black hair. There was skinny to curvy. They were all dressed to the nines in cocktail dresses with heels and what I was assuming was full hair and makeup underneath the masks that they all wore. I let my eyes rove over them again, not interested in the stick figures up there. I needed some curved to hold onto, to slap when I was behind them. I liked more than a handful of tit in my hand and real nipples to suck on.
My gaze rested on the woman in the purple dress. She was curvy in all the right places and not at all heavy. She likely felt that way with some of these others on the stage, but she shouldn’t. I gripped my paddle in my hand tightly, knowing what I was going to do. A man stepped onto the stage to start the festivities, beginning with the woman to his left. She wore a garish yellow dress and matching heels that made me cringe and I let the men around me handle that one. I remained still until it was my girl at the end, raising my hand up and shouting an obscene amount of money into the air. Donovan stared at me in surprise as I kept my gaze locked on her. She shuffled on her feet and I could practically feel her blushing.
“I paid twenty-five large, and you went forty on the first bid? Damn, Bast.” I kept looking forward, bidding against every other man until nobody challenged me at seventy million dollars. The room fell silent for a moment as I was announced the winner and I licked my lips.
She was mine. Warm, blonde curls and sexy legs in a classic dress was all mine. Number ten. I sensed that she was a true virgin by the way she was shifting around, unlike some other women. Donovan clapped me on the back, leading me to the bar for a shot. “I think the foundation did just fine tonight.” He looked on as others approached me to congratulate me in various ways and I nodded with a smile.
Deep down, I just paid seventy thousand dollars to fuck a woman. She would see a little of that and the rest was going to a great charity, so I couldn’t feel bad. I waited until we were alone again and glanced at my friend.
“You got a pretty one too, from what I can tell.” He nodded, smiling at the thought of the redhead that had the body of a pin up girl. I hardly thought she was as innocent as she wanted to pretend, but he seemed happy.
We waited in the room for a while they got things sorted backstage. We were called back one-by-one to take care of the payment before being led to a private room to meet our dates. I watched Donovan go back and ordered another drink to calm my nerves. I’d be the last one, and the wait seemed endless right now. I glanced over to see a blonde looking at me with interest in her eyes and turned my face. It wasn’t cool to fuck someone when I’d just bid on another woman for the night even if the blonde was hot.
I heard the voice call out for the winner of number ten and downed the drink before turning to walk to the door leading to the office. I sat down with the head of the foundation, avoiding all mention of sex as he thanked me for my contribution. I handed him a check, and we shook hands before he asked a man to take me to my date. I was taken to a door where the man knocked before opening it. I strolled in, seeing the purple dress before I took her in up close. Her curves were sexy, and I noticed that she was looking down, holding the mask in her hand. Her hair was the color of honey with highlights and hung in silky curls as she shifted in her seat.
“My name is Sebastian,” I offered as she lifted her face to look at me. Her eyes were a hazel but bright with curiosity as she gazed at me. I raised my brows as I recognized her from the bar last night. I thought she was beautiful then, but she looked away so quickly that I thought she wasn’t interested.
“You’re the guy from the bar,” she told me as I felt the electricity between us. It was there last night. I thought that I was imagining it but also went home alone when there was another option.
“So, it seems.” I grinned and moved closer to her, sitting in the chair across from her at the table. I looked closer at her in the soft lights that hung from the ceiling, realizing how beautiful she was. “You’re stunning.” She smiled and twisted her fingers together.
“You’re stunning. Why did you bid that much on me?” Her eyes locked with mine, searching them hard.
“I thought that you stood out up there. That dress is vintage, not designer. You seemed… shy. You were up there to auction yourself, sell yourself and you seemed innocent. You were beautiful.” I reached out to touch her hand and test what was in the room between us. Heat flared as she jumped and tried to move away. “I want to take you out. I want to go to dinner somewhere we can talk. We can do anything that you want after that, but I want to go about this the
right way.”
“That’s good. I don’t know if I’d be worth that otherwise. I still don’t know that I am.” She smiled, trying to make a joke as her eyes dropped to the table. I gripped her hand tighter and held it as she looked up at me.
“What is your name?” I asked her as she nibbled on her full lower lip that was colored with a deep pink.
“I’m Emery.”
“It’s a pleasure. I lifted her hand to my lips, brushing a soft kiss on her clammy skin as she slowly smiled. “May I take you out for a drink?”
We went to a local bistro that was open late, sipping wine and nibbling on appetizers as we got to know each other. The room was thick with attraction as she blushed and laughed, her eyes darkening with want the way that they did last night before she looked away. When we were done there, I asked to take her dancing, and she agreed with a smile.
CHAPTER FOUR
Emery
He was even better looking close up. I watched him talk, took in his perfect full lips as I sipped wine and nibbled on the food in front of me. I felt the way he was looking at me when I was on that stage, but I didn’t know who he was at the time. The lights were bright, and I could not see any faces, but I felt the intensity of his gaze the entire time. It was the same way that he was looking at me now as I watched him.
Sebastian was a secure man. He spoke confidently, and oozed sexuality and wealth and I memorized it. I’d never forget the amount of money that he spends on me and how much it would help me. I never did this for the money as much as listening to Mollie talked about it and suggested it for some fun in my life.
When we were finished eating, he suggested a nearby club. I agreed, and he paid the bill before offering me his arm. I took it, breathing in his masculine scent of soap and peppermint as I felt the heat radiating through his clothes. We walked out to the sidewalk and down the street as he talked about New York and what he loved about it. He made me regret moving as he spoke, describing the city in a way that made me see it in a different light.
We entered the club ahead of everyone else as Sebastian greeted the bouncer with a smile. He took my hand and led me to the bar, asking what I’d like to drink over the loud music. I asked for a glass of wine, knowing how good it made me feel. I felt so good with Sebastian and I never wanted that feeling to end. I sipped it slowly, staring into his face as he sipped a beer.
I wanted Sebastian as much as I had last night before I knew who he was. He let us finish our drinks before slipping off his jacket and draping it over a table that was free. He then loosened his tie and top buttons and rolled his sleeves up before grinning at me.
“Can I have this dance, Emery?” He held out his hand, and I took it, letting him lead me to the dance floor as a sensual Justin Timberlake song started playing. I watched as he started to move skillfully and sexually, making me move my hips to get closer to him. I raised my arms up and danced closer to him, needing his heat and his scent.
We danced for a few songs, slow and fast. The way that he danced was seductive without him even trying and I melted into his arms as he pulled me closer for a slow dance. I slipped my arms around his neck, the combination of wine and desire hitting me full force as I slipped my hands into his thick hair. Sebastian stared down at me, into my eyes before looking at my lips and tightening his hold on me.
“Are you a virgin, Emery?” He asked me as I nodded.
“I don’t want to be anymore,” I told him as he smiled weakly. Sebastian looked around before he slipped his hand down my body, grabbing my fingers and pulling me off the dance floor. He led me down a hallway and found the dark, empty end before pressing me against the wall gently.
“I didn’t want to kiss you out there,” he told me in a husky voice before catching my mouth in a hungry kiss. He was taller than I was but not so much that he had to hunch over me. His hands moved to cup my face as he kept kissing me, his lips soft and warm. I felt his tongue stroking my lower lip just before he drew it between his teeth with a gentle tug. I parted my lips, trembling a bit as he slipped his tongue into my mouth slow and sweet. My nipples pebbled, and thighs tensed as I wrapped my arms around his waist to pull him closer.
Ned never kissed me like this. He was demanding and always too hard, but this was soft and felt so good. Sebastian tilted his head and deepened the kiss as I gasped and pressed against him. He dropped one hand down my body and stroked my side before gripping my hip tightly. I bucked against him, needing the friction against my sex as he reached around to grab my ass. “I want you,” I whispered as he kissed down to my jaw, pulling me against his hard cock. I moaned, and he lifted me up, urging me to wrap my legs around him as he pushed into me. I let out a long moan, and he sucked my earlobe into his mouth, avoiding the chandelier earring as I breathed in deeply.
“Not here. Let’s get out of here,” he told me as he dropped me and straightened my dress. “Let’s go.”
I held onto his hand and followed him to the door, asking about his jacket. Sebastian walked outside and across the street to a sleek black car that I couldn’t even identify. He waved as a man stepped out of the driver’s seat, opening the door for me himself. I slipped inside, seeing a bench seat with one across from it that was a soft leather. I scooted to the window and looked out, wondering where we were going. Sebastian closed the door and moved beside me, turning my face to his for a soft kiss.
“I’ll get my stuff later. Someone will get it, or I’ll just buy new ones. I don’t fucking care because I have wanted you since I saw you last night, Emery. I want you, but you need to want this as well.” His eyes stared down at me as he pulled away slightly to speak, imploring me to speak.
“I do.” I replied, leaning up to kiss him.
Sebastian told the driver to take us to his place, and I breathed in nervously in the moment I had before he kissed me again. I moved eagerly towards him and he pulled me over his lap as he arranged my skirt around me. I was pressed against him with only pants and the underwear that I had on between us. His kissed were primal and needy as I moved my head to meet his tongue with mine. I knew that this was right, despite any lingering fear. I knew that he was going to be the first man inside of me.
By the time the car stopped, I’d unbuttoned his shirt to the waist and his hands were all over my body. He’d managed to unzip my dress in the back but otherwise I was dressed, and I pulled away to look around. We were in a parking garage with just a few cars parked around us, otherwise empty.
“Are we going to do it here?” I asked him as Sebastian chuckled.
“No. This is where I live. I wouldn’t let your first time be in the car.” He rolled me off him gently and I pulled my dress up as he zipped me, leaving his shirt the way it was. He opened the car door, and I grabbed my purse before sliding out to follow him to an elevator. He pushed the button and slipped an arm around my back while we waited. The door slid open silently, and he guided me in before pushing the button for the top floor. I looked up at him with wonder in my eyes, reaching around his neck. I kissed Sebastian, tasting the liquor on his breath and the mint of the gum that he was chewing earlier.
He pushed me against the glass of the door, his tongue dancing with mine as he pulled me close. The elevator ride was smooth, and I gasped as the door opened and he pulled away, his eyes dark with heat. Sebastian pulled me into the foyer of a big apartment with a sunken living room and a view that made my mouth drop open. I could see the city from where we were and turned to look at him as he slipped his shirt off.
His body was muscled and perfect without being too big. He was a man that kept himself in shape and I watched him nervously as he stalked towards me. Sebastian was obviously the one that liked to be in control and in this moment, that frightened me a bit. He cupped my face and looked into my eyes for a moment before kissing me tenderly. I felt desire wash over me, replacing the fear and wrapped my arms around him. Sebastian kissed me hungrily and slowly moved me across the room, guiding and securing me so I didn’t fall. I gasped as he p
ressed me against something, moving his lips down my neck. Sebastian slipped his hands down to clasp mine and held them to the cold surface as I moaned softly.
“Do you want to come over the city?” He whispered as I opened my eyes to look at him for a second. He kissed me again and his tongue swept my mouth as his hands began running over my body. My sex started to ache as I kissed him back, my thighs growing slick with need. I’d never wanted anybody this much, and he lifted me up with his hands tightly clasping my ass. One moved under my skirt, tracing my skin softly as I groaned. I had no idea how he could hold me like this, but I felt safe as he pressed between my legs.
